Kobus Partners hires Felipe Mesía as head of Asset Finance

Kobus Partners, the private equity firm specialized in renewable energy assets and energy infrastructure, has hired Felipe Mesía as new partner and head of Asset Finance. This new area was conceived to offer alternative financial solutions to those entrepreneurs who want to maintain the ownership of their renewable energy portfolio and increase their financial capability for development and construction of new projects.

Felipe Mesía has more than 20 years of experience in financial entities such as Santander and Banesto, and he was the present head of the energy investment area at the French fund Rive Private Investments for Spain and Portugal.

Felipe Mesía is now joining the Kobus Partners team, led by Pablo Guinot and Carlos García-Monzón who come from the energy infrastructure investment area of Blackstone and Santander, respectively. Currently, Kobus Partners is managing over 200 million euros in renewable assets, and since its creation, the firm has executed transactions with a value of over Euros 300 million.

The Spanish managing company is currently in the last phase of its second investment fund, and is finishing the details of its third investment vehicle, which will expand its geographical scope to other Southern European countries.
